What can I do if Micro Guard sometimes turns off by itself?

Some devices—especially those running newer Android versions like Android 13 or 14—can automatically close or put apps to sleep under certain conditions. In addition, it occasionally happens that the system or drivers reload (for example, when playing music or making VoIP calls), which can briefly disable Micro Guard Android app. Below are a few steps you can try:

Check Battery and Power-Saving Settings

  1. Deactivate Battery Optimization
In your device settings (e.g., “Settings” → “Apps” or “Battery & Device Care”), check if Micro Guard is set to “Not optimized,” so it won’t be automatically closed.
  2. Test Power Saving Mode
Temporarily switch off Power Saving Mode (if it’s enabled). Sometimes the power-saving feature can prevent Micro Guard from running in the background.

    Manage Background Data and Permissions
  3. Check App Permissions
Make sure Micro Guard has all necessary permissions (e.g., microphone access, background processes).
  4. Renew Permissions
In some cases, briefly revoking and then regranting permissions—like microphone access—helps Android re-register the app properly.

    Reinstall Micro Guard
  5. Uninstall & Reinstall
Completely remove Micro Guard, then reinstall it from the official Play Store. This ensures a “clean” installation.
  6. Use the Latest App Version
Make sure you have the most recent version of the app installed—updates often include important bug fixes.

    Install All System Updates
  7. Android and Manufacturer Updates
Both Android itself and manufacturer-specific apps (e.g., Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.) are regularly updated to address compatibility issues.
  8. Keep Your Device Up to Date
Ensure your device is fully updated to rule out known bugs.

Test Your Device in Safe Mode
  9. Identify Conflicts with Other Apps
By booting your phone in Safe Mode, you can check if a third-party app is causing the issue. If Micro Guard runs without issues in Safe Mode, another app is likely the culprit.

Check for Malware or Other Disruptions

Run an Antivirus Scan
Perform a thorough virus and malware scan (e.g., with our free Antivirus AI). If your device is clear of harmful software, that possibility is largely ruled out.

Good to Know:
If Micro Guard only turns off sporadically, it might be due to short-term driver reloads triggered by certain apps (music players, VoIP, or streaming apps).
We are continuously working on improvements for more stable functionality and are actively investigating the issue you described.

If none of these steps help or if the problem continues, please contact our support with details about your device (manufacturer, model, Android version) and your Micro Guard app version. We’ll be happy to assist you with further troubleshooting!
